Hi, I’m Jason Kapiloff—a sports photographer with a passion for capturing the intensity, emotion, and split-second drama of the game. Based in Northern New Jersey, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, and photography became my way of freezing moments that matter.

I studied Environmental Design with a practice in Landscape Architecture at the University of Colorado Boulder, but it was a semester abroad in Barcelona that changed everything. The first thing I did when I arrived was check the schedules of lower soccer divisions in Spain and set out with my camera to most of the games in Barcelona. My first time shooting a live match—a gritty fourth-division game in Barcelona—was unforgettable. The energy, the passion of the fans, and the rhythm of the game pulled me in. From that day forward, I knew sports photography was what I wanted to pursue.

With a deep understanding of sports and the ability to read the game, I focus on capturing not just the action, but the moments in between—the buildup, the emotion, the story. Whether it's a high-stakes match or a local pickup game, I aim to deliver images that feel alive.

Outside of sports, I enjoy experimenting with all types of photography—from astrophotography to street and wildlife. One of my wildlife shots even earned 3rd place in a Photocrowd contest titled "New Joiners - Animals."

Whether you're a team looking for game coverage and photos, an athlete building your portfolio, or a brand in need of dynamic imagery, I’d love to connect. Let’s create something memorable.
